Public Health Nurse

The Meigs County Health Department is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time OR part-time employment of a Registered Nurse (BSN preferred).

Primary duties include clinical nursing services, communicable disease investigation, and the Complex Medical Help (CMH) Program. A complete job description can be found below.  ( Full-time or Part Time Public Health Nurse/RN (BSN Preferred) tab below).  **Please note that we are posting the job description of the Full -Time Public Health Nurse BSN/CMH, but the job description duties are identical regardless of full/part-time employment and education level.** Applicant must be a motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. All candidates must have a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle.

• Starting pay $21 – $26/hour. Pay dependent upon education and experience

Full-time employees are eligible for the following:

• Medical, Dental, Vision and Basic Life Insurance (80% of a single plan only covered by MCHD)
• Paid time off, including vacation (after one year of service), personal days (after one year of service), and sick leave; flex and compensatory time
• 12 paid holidays per year
• 8-4 work day, 35-hours work week Monday – Friday with occasional weekend and evening hours
• Ohio Public Employees Retirement System
• Access to Deferred Compensation Programs & Additional Life Insurances (at employee expense)
• Mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use during work hours

Part-time employees are eligible for the following:

• Paid time off, including vacation (after one year of service), personal (after one year of service), and sick leave; flex and compensatory time
• 8 paid holidays per year
• 8-4 work day, 28-hours work week Tuesday – Friday with occasional weekend and evening hours
• Ohio Public Employees Retirement System
