M & B Distributors, Inc. Issues a Voluntary Recall of a Variety of Sandwich Items for Undeclared Allergens

CINCINNATI, Ohio (Jan. 13, 2023)- M & B Distributors, Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio is voluntarily recalling the products listed below as the product labels do not declare egg, wheat, milk, sesame, and soy allergens. 


The following products are subject to this recall: 

• Chicken Salad Sandwich-missing egg allergen 

• Cheeseburger-missing wheat, milk, sesame, and soy allergens 

• Bacon Egg Cheese Croissant-missing soy allergen 

• Frisco-missing wheat allergen 

• Spicy Chicken Sandwich-missing sesame allergen 


Other sandwiches manufactured by M & B Distributors may also be included in this recall. 


All products purchased or consumed from January 6, 2023, and January 12, 2023, are subject to this recall. Sandwiches are either packaged in wedge sandwich containers or wrapped in cellophane and contain one of the labels pictured below. Products are sold through vending machines and food trucks throughout the Cincinnati and surrounding areas, including Northern Kentucky. 


There have been no reported illnesses to date associated with this recall. However, people who have an allergy or sensitivity to wheat, egg, milk, sesame, or soy run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. 


M & B Distributors became aware of the misbranding issue after it was brought to our attention by the Ohio Department of Agriculture during a routine inspection. 


Customers with a food allergy who have purchased the affected product should dispose of it or return it to M & B Distributors for a refund.
